Intraocular lenses (IOL)
Intraocular lenses are intended for the correction of very severe conditions of short-sight, long-sight and astigmatism. They are similar to very small contact lenses; they are placed inside the eye.
In order to ensure the maximum safety, the lens is implanted in one eye during one treatment. Intraocular lenses often enable improving night vision and the vision quality is better compared with glasess.
Refractive lens replacement (RL)
This kind of surgery is more suitable for patients over 40 and it is identical to the cataract removal surgery. The natural eye lens is replaced with an artificial one for correction of your vision. It also enables avoiding the necessity to perform cataract removal surgery in the future.
