Is it possible to avoid wearing glasses for life?

Refractive lensectomy
RLE patients who want to free themselves from glasses and are eligible for laser vision correction, having applied to the “Naujas regėjimas” Eye Clinic and participating in the “BiVision” program, confidently say “no” to glasses and contact lenses for life.
Jurij Tabolevičius, expert doctor at the “Naujas regėjimas” clinic, who has already performed over 55,000 microsurgical eye operations, answers questions relevant to people who want to live without glasses.
– For many of my acquaintances and patients who have always seen well, reaching the age of 50 makes it harder to read or causes near vision deterioration. This is natural; this phenomenon is called presbyopia. It is also called the “long arms” disease because, when reading, one wants to pull the text away, or, to feel comfortable, it is necessary to wear reading glasses prescribed by an ophthalmologist. This is not very convenient. For people who have lived without glasses all their lives, this is now such a “gift.” Usually, people buy several pairs of glasses: for driving, working at the country house, or staying at home. Glasses are constantly misplaced, which causes constant frustration. Glasses do not suit anyone, especially women.
When working at a computer, reading, or looking at objects at a certain distance, the internal eye muscles change the natural lens shape. It becomes flatter (for distance vision) or more convex (for near vision), thus providing good vision at different distances. Unfortunately, by the age of 40–50, the eye lens becomes less elastic and loses the ability to change shape quickly.
Patients ask only one thing – how to quickly, safely, and reliably get rid of this problem.
The solution has been known for quite some time, and millions of successful operations have been performed. It involves replacing the age-affected natural lens with a modern multifocal premium-class intraocular lens (IOL) from RAYNER.
The intraocular lens (IOL) was first implanted on November 29, 1949, created by the English company RAYNER. Until recently, modern ophthalmology could not give an artificial lens natural flexibility. A conventional soft intraocular lens allows good distance vision, but reading or working on a computer still requires glasses. Such vision cannot be called complete. Today, using RAYNER multifocal intraocular lenses, which have several focal points, patients of all ages can regain excellent vision at all distances. By precisely replicating the natural lens function, such a multifocal IOL allows completely abandoning glasses and seeing perfectly both near and far, making vision truly “alive.”
A multifocal lens creates multiple focal points on the retina, allowing the patient to see well at a distance, intermediate, and near vision without glasses. The aspheric refractive M-Flex lens has up to five smoothly transitioning optical zones, forming multiple images on the retina: distance, intermediate, and near vision. Our brain processes these images and quickly selects the one required at the moment. The probability of unwanted optical effects (glare, sharp contrast) with RAYNER lenses is zero. 99.95% of patients say the result exceeded all their expectations. The IOL is implanted through a small incision and unfolds in the eye like a living flower, so postoperative rehabilitation is minimal. The patient does not need to change their usual lifestyle; for two weeks after surgery, saunas and sports are not recommended, and after a month, there are no restrictions. An interesting detail – NASA astronauts continue to fly successfully into space after such surgeries, which demonstrates the quality and safety of this treatment method.
Of course, due to its unique technology and complexity, multifocal lenses are quite expensive even for wealthy patients. The cost of the operation has always seemed a major obstacle because it is expensive. One could say this was the only disadvantage of this method. Not everyone’s financial capacity allows them to purchase what they want. We constantly discuss that it is now necessary to provide special conditions in Ukraine for cataract, presbyopia, and refractive surgeries – for patients eligible for laser vision correction. We must offer realistic special prices accessible to most. Therefore, we are pleased to announce that for our patients, such surgery will cost only 682 EUR, while the usual price is 1,200 EUR.
The “Living Vision” program has made presbyopia and cataract surgery affordable, allowing patients to enjoy excellent vision without glasses. You only need to call our clinic, register, and come for an ophthalmologist consultation and examination. Having regained excellent vision, you can surprise your ophthalmologist by visiting without your old glasses.
The “Living Vision” program gives patients the opportunity to get a premium-class intraocular lens almost at the price of a standard lens, which means obtaining perfect, full, “alive” vision under exceptional conditions. We look forward to seeing you! More information online at www.eyes.lt.
