Dry Eye Syndrome

Burning eyes, redness, and pressing pain are the first warning signs indicating that something is wrong with the eyes.

Time passes unnoticed when working at a computer. However, the eyes still suffer one way or another. The consequences of long-term computer work are very diverse. The first symptoms of struggling eyes are burning and redness. If no measures are taken in time, simple dry eye symptoms can turn into a serious eye pathology. Then vision may become permanently impaired.

Dry eye syndrome primarily affects office workers: managers, accountants, programmers, engineers, etc. Professional activity requires such employees to spend all 8 working hours at the computer, and sometimes even longer.

Meanwhile, the eyes become very tired after looking at one point for a long time. Therefore, it is necessary to periodically shift the gaze from near to distant objects and change the viewing angle. Unfortunately, when working at a computer, this is difficult to do.

Another peculiarity of a computer monitor is that the image consists of many flickering dots, which also overloads the eyes.

In addition, intensive computer work quickly dries out the eye mucosa. This is primarily due to insufficient eye lubrication. Normally, the eyes are moistened and washed by blinking. However, when working at a computer, it is often impossible to blink frequently.

Because of this, tear fluid does not get released and the eyes dry out. As a result, eye itching and burning appear, the whites of the eyes and the eyelids turn red, and inflammation begins.

Another cause of dry eye syndrome may be air-conditioned office spaces.

Thus, office conditions can quietly cause vision problems and even eye diseases, because computer work places almost double the strain on the eyes.

Dry eye syndrome can not only worsen vision but also lead to eye diseases such as blepharitis, glaucoma, cataract, and even blindness.

Therefore, as soon as you feel that your eyes are suffering from dry eye syndrome, be sure to contact eye disease specialists. It is better to treat dry eye syndrome in its early stages.

In ancient times, thousands of years ago, blue-eyed people, who appeared as a mutation of brown-eyed ones when the latter were on the verge of extinction, prevented humanity from disappearing from the surface of our planet Earth. Blue-eyed people provided the much-needed vital energy, thus seemingly programming the purpose of future blue-eyed generations — to spread energy to those around them.

Glasses for working at the computer

Recently, desktop and laptop computers, tablets, and similar devices have become almost essential tools. Who among us does not use them at least once a day? Many people’s work is associated with constant, focused viewing of the computer screen. Meanwhile, after returning home, we continue to sit at the computer, even though we know that our eyes need rest from intense activity. Eventually, the eyes become overstrained, computer vision syndrome develops, accommodation spasms appear, myopia progresses, and overall well-being worsens.
