2016 in Ophthalmology – The End of the Era of Excimer and Femtosecond Lasers

2016 in ophthalmology marks the end of the era of excimer and femtosecond lasers. This is explained by the ophthalmologist of the “Naujas regėjimas” clinic, Andrej Radzko, who has performed over 400,000 successful laser vision correction procedures.

“I have been working as an ophthalmologist for more than 25 years and in my practice I have used excimer and femtosecond lasers from various manufacturers in the USA, Japan, Germany, and Russia. I have accumulated extensive experience; I performed my first laser vision correction procedures in the last century. Excimer laser technologies were very effective, helping patients suffering from myopia, hyperopia, or astigmatism get rid of glasses and contact lenses.
